In every womans wardrobe there should be a pair of jeans. They are easy to wash and maintain and are very versatile and so can be worn when on a cold weekend day while slouching around the home or for a pop to your local restaurant for quick bite with your partner. For the big beautiful woman, it might be a bit of a struggle to find jeans that flatter but with these hints in mind, you’ll be well on your way to getting jeans that make your tummy a washboard, your legs seem never ending and your bum pert and just the right size!

Good packages come in small sizes.

If you are short, then go for straight cut jeans as they are easier to hem without distorting the shape. The only reason to avoid boot cut jeans is because the shape gets distorted when hemmed otherwise there is no reason to avoid them. When buying jeans, make sure it is in a dark colour as this creates the illusion of length. Go for the length that will cover your heels to create an even greater lengthening effect. Try to avoid tapered trousers if you want to look taller.

Nip and Tuck

If you have a bit of a tummy bulge avoid low rise jeans as they do you no favours whatsoever. On the other hand, high waisted jeans can make you look short and frumpy. Instead, go for a midrise pair of jeans preferably with stretch in it as these will balance your proportions. Ensure the jean sits across your midriff as it this will also add a bit of support to the tummy as well getting rid in an instant the dreaded ‘tummy spill’. Complete the look and accesorize with a nice belt and you are good to go.

Disguise the thighs.

Wearing boot cut jeans balances the figure and removes attention from the thighs by creating a symmetric fit between hips and the flares. Stretch jeans as long as they are not too baggy and not too tight and fit smoothly are the perfect choice. Too tight and it makes you look larger than you really are. Too loose on the other hand flattens the bottom. Avoid the distressed look. This only focuses attention on the thighs, the exact spot you’re trying to avoid.

Junk in the trunk.

If you have a flat bottom, go for jeans with smaller back pockets as this makes that ‘booty’ seem larger. Back pockets sitted higher up the bum create an illusion of a curvy derriere as do flap pockets which add texture and thickness creating the wow factor. Skip flat pockets. Slit pockets show off the natural curve of the behind, On the other hand, to turn attention away from a big butt, avoid embellishments on the back pockets as these grab all the attention.

Getting the right jeans need not be a hassle if you can follow these tips. Be prepared to try on lots of jeans until you find one that you feel comfortable in. Know your body type and like everything else in life, accentuate the positives. When you do eventually find one that fits, it would have been worth the hassle.

Women’s designer denim is the staple of today’s fashion industry, and the swiftest growing area of women’s clothing. Women’s designer denim features dynamic and creative designers like True religion, Monarchy, and seven for all humankind. All makers of girls’s designer denim have learned in their clothing lines that everyone seems to be formed differently, and the cut must agree to the lady’s body and curves to look great. To that end there are a few manufactures each with their own style and cut, as outlined below.

True Religion jeans for women come in different styles like boot cut, thin, flare, and straight leg amongst others. All of the different styles of come in different washes,eg dark, medium, and light, and the fabrics hug the hips, lengthen the legs, and look sexy and complicated on any body type. They also come in cropped denim which look extraordinary with two high boots.

The different fabrics can be soft or firm, depending on how casual you would like the look to be. The cropped denim compliments the body and can be worn with a nice blazer, or an off-the-cuff t-shirt. True religion ladies’s designer denim are made with a new manufacturing process that naturally ages the jean in order that they look even better with wash and wear. These ladies’s designer denim jeans are featured in shorts as well as full length jeans that embrace the hips sit high on the thighs and make the legs look long and lean.

How to Spot Fakes

Over the last few years, premium jeans have become quite a hot commodity. Designer brands such as True faith are highly regarded for their innovation, craftsmanship and design. As the approval for this brand has risen, the production of imposters has grown as well. So how does one differentiate between the genuine and the replicated? These are some recommendations on how to spot fake True Religion jeans.

Likely the best way to spot fake jeans is the shape of the pocket flaps. On originals both the back pockets and the front coin pocket are curved with a pronounced point in the middle. Fakes will butcher this in a selection of ways from an attempted curve to some that are practically straight. If you want to understand one thing about the originals it’s the shape of the pocket flaps.

inspect the back pocket closely. Almost all of the time fakes will have a horseshoe that’s too wide and placed too high on the pocket.
take a look at the feel and appear of the fabric. True religions are famous for their high quality denim, smooth fading and flawless troubling. The denim on many fakes is coarse, stiff and thin. In addition, fading is often really short with a dirty brownish yellow appearance.

For example, you can distinguish all of the fingers on originals where on fakes the fingers are blurred. Regarding the pocket liners, the Buddhas should be little and bright red.

Inner tag details matter.

Be careful where you buy true religion jeans. If you find true religions jeans for sale at places such as auctions at very low prices then there is a good chance they are fake particularly when they are over below 50% of the counseled retail price unless they on sale from a credible retailer. Do not order true religion jeans from unreliable sources.

Jeans and denim trousers will continue to be popular in the coming seasons. With so many different styles to choose from, it can get quite confusing to pick the right pair for your body type. Following are a few guidelines for every shape:

Petite

Look for a low-rise straight or skinny leg. Stay away from capris, flares and too much embellishment, which cut the length of your legs. Also avoid higher rises, because they make your torso look shorter.

Boyish

The trendy low-rise skinny jean or sandblasted denim is made for your shape. Smaller or lower sitting back pockets create the

illusion of curves. Refrain from wearing looser fits, which create a more masculine look.

Pear

Go for a slight boot-cut or straight leg to balance a bigger hip and thigh. Make sure the jeans are snug, but not too tight round

your thigh. A medium to higher-rise is recommended. Larger or higher sitting back pockets will make a large bum appear smaller.

Apple

In order to create the slimmest look, wear a slim-leg stretch-denim boot cut or a straight leg. A high rise helps camouflage a few extra pounds in the midsection. Higher sitting back pockets will lift your behind.

Plus size

Look for a mid- to high-rise straight-leg in dark denim, preferably with a little stretch (2% spandex/lycra). Men’s styles may also fit you well. Avoid tapered legs and bulky front pockets.

Only buy jeans that fit really well; Price and label are less important. Also keep in mind that denim will stretch. If the fit is too loose when you buy your jeans, you will notice that it will get even looser with time.

Denim usually shrinks during the first wash. Should you need to get the legs altered, have it done after washing and drying, or you may end up with jeans that are too short.

Last, but not least, this is how you prevent your jeans from fading too soon: always wash your jeans inside out, add a little vinegar to the wash to set the color and wash your newer and older jeans together.

Jeans are the staple of many a wardrobe, but if they do not fit right, you´ll find that you won’t wear them. Often, it seems like hit or miss when you are looking for jeans . . . even the ones that are in your size don´t seem to fit you right. Since jeans are an important part of any casual wardrobe, it´s important that you get the fit right so you look great and feel even better.

Cecile Blanco, Image Consultant with Style Me Now! lists specific things to look for in a pair of jeans and teaches how to find the right pair of jeans in the tips below.

Make Them Fit Your Body Type

Jeans will be far more flattering if you choose a pair that suits your body type. The great thing about jeans is that they really do work for anyone . . . you just need the right style. For women who are a bit heavy in the hips, a nice flared jean will help balance this out and draw attention downwards. Petite ladies will look best in low-rise jeans that come just up to the hipbone, while a high-waisted pair will help keep a larger stomach from being too obvious. Tapered legs look best on women who have narrow hips, since they create the illusion of curves.

Choose the Right Pockets

Pockets may seem insignificant, but they really do have a lot to do with how a pair of jeans looks on you. Small back pockets, or ones with lots of detail, will tend to make big bottoms look even heavier and draw a lot of attention to your backside. Opt for no pockets at all or look for ones that are large enough to be in proportion with your bottom. The opposite is true for women with smaller behinds, detail and smaller, fancy pockets will tend to add bulk to that area.

Pick a Yoke to Enhance Your Body

The yoke is the top part of the jean, most visible at the back and the curve of the seam can make all the difference in how your jeans fit and look. For example, a yoke seam that curve upwards from the hips will tend to make your bottom look larger, while a flat yoke line creates a wider hip. A “V” shaped yoke is one of the most common types and it is also quite flattering to all body types and usually fits well, so when in doubt, opt for this one. A wide yoke will allow your jeans to fit better if you are on the larger side.

Match the Wash to the Occasion

Where are you planning to wear your jeans? Part of picking the right pair of jeans is choosing the wash, or how distressed the fabric is. You can get your jeans already faded or stone washed. Obviously, these are all for a more casual outfit. If you are thinking of wearing your jeans to work, you´ll be better off going with a plain dark color . . . often the darker the better for less casual situations.

Choosing the right jeans for you requires knowing where you will be using them and which style will flatter your body type. Use the tips given here to help you select the perfect pair of jeans and then go find yourself a pair that not only fits you and is comfortable, but that looks great, too.

Are you tall? Are you petite? Do you have long legs? Do you have a large middle? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then you probably have struggled to find the perfect pair of jeans. In today’s world, every woman has the same struggle trying to find the exact characteristics in a jean that will best fit her body. In this article, we will outline some of the more popular attributes that many women have and then give you our recommendations for the perfect jean.

If you are Tall with Long Legs. This describes a woman who is over 5’7” and has a longer lower body, meaning she is easily able to wrap her legs around something. To suit your frame, you should go for jeans with at least a 36” inseam to accommodate your long torso. Hudson’s “Supermodel Jean” is all the rage among, who else, Supermodels and tall women the same. Other great brands are Rock & Republic and Habitual who offer a large variety of options for tall women who are leggy.

If you are Slim with a Boyish Frame (No Hips). This describes a woman who is narrow-waisted with no visible curves. Kate Moss is a great example of this type of frame. If you wish for jeans to fit your frame well, a straight leg or skinny jean would look great. Aim to buy jeans without any stretch, as these types of jeans will only slide because you have little to no hips for the material to cling to. Rock & Republic and Rich & Skinny are great brands while Brown Label’s “The Rebecca Straight Leg” is an ideal style for women who have this shape.

If you are Petite. The word petite covers two extremes of woman who are of a shorter stature. Raven is a great brand for petite woman in general.

*If you are Petite and Curvy. This means you are 5’4” or under and have a full bust, smaller waist and thicker thighs. You define a Coke-Bottle shape. For you, a great jean needs to have a bit of stretch and should not have tiny back pockets. This little detail will make your rear look bigger than it is. Joe’s Jeans “The Honey” and Paper Denim & Cloth “The MOD” are fan favorites if you have this frame.

*If you are petite and Slim. As before, this means that you are 5’4” or under, however you are a little more proportionally built with a smaller bust, small waist, and slimmer legs. Skinny Jeans with high heels is a great combination for your frame. The close-fitting jeans will give you volume while the heels give you height. Millard Fillmore “The Straight Leg” and Joe’s Jeans “The Provocateur” are our picks for this type of frame.

If you have Full Hips, Thighs, and a Small Waist. If this is your frame, you have a Coke-Bottle shape as well. Usually, when you purchase jeans that fit your hips and thighs, you have a gap at your waist. Some of the best jeans for you would be trouser-cut, wide-leg, and sailor style in darker washes. These would give your body a great streamlining effect. Favorites for this curvier figure are Aristocrat’s “The Windsor Boot Cut” and GoldSign’s “The Orchard Wide Leg”. Both perform double duty with angled waist bands and stretch denim.

If you have a Larger Middle. Many women, especially after having children, fall into this category. This frame is characterized by having a larger stomach that many times will hang over the waist band of low-rise jeans. The best jeans are those with a medium rise instead of a low rise and have extra stretch to accommodate your middle. Jeans with decoration around the waistband should be avoided, as the decoration will draw unwanted attention to your middle. Not Your Daughter’s Jeans “The Tummy Tuck Jean” and Paige Premium Denim “The Rising Glen” are great options if you have this frame.

If you are Tall and Curvy. You are one of the rare women who have earned the title “Amazon”. Serena Williams is a great example of this voluptuous shape. You need to find jeans to accommodate your shape, which includes all of your curves and your height. Go for a jean with at least a 36” inseam that are stretch and preferably wide-leg. These three factors combined will give you an amazing and polished look. Hudson, Citizen’s of Humanity, and Davis Kahn are brands that we highly recommend for women with this frame.

If you have Fuller Thighs. If you have this frame, it is highly likely you have to go a size or two larger in jeans to find the perfect jean that fits you best. Dark denim boot-cut styles are a winner. Also, try to find a jean with at least 2% stretch to accommodate your thighs. Joe’s Jeans “The Honey Jean” is one of the best for this frame.

No matter your shape or size, there is a perfect jean for you. Use this as a guide to find the jeans that will hug your body in all the right places. And remember, once you find the right jeans for you, shopping for them will no longer be a struggle. Good Luck & Happy Shopping!

When Levi Strauss arrived in America and invented jeans in 1853, he probably had no idea that these trousers designed as work trousers for men, would become such a “high” fashion item in the twentieth and twenty-first centuaries. These working clothes are now worn by men and women of all generations and social classes.

30 years ago there was a wealth of “jean” shops, dedicated to selling only denim. These are few and far between. It is no longer the proviso of brands such as Levi and Lee to manufacture jeans. Every fashion house has its own brand from Marks and Spencer to Diesel, ranging is price from £10 to £150 plus for some designer labels.

Now there are so many variations on the “jean theme” and I don’t just mean price. There are boot cut, boyfriend jean, skinny leg, low rise, mid rise, high rise, high waist, flared. Then what about colour? Even if you just opt for denim rather than coloured jeans, there is dark, washed, stoned washed, bleached. The list is endless. It is a mine field out there!

Here are some things to consider when you shop for jeans.

Colour. If you are looking for coloured jeans, then make sure they are a colour that suits you and goes with tops you already have. Think about your hair, skin and eye colour. If you are dark go for dark colours, light haired, light colours. This applies to denim too. Try to match your natural colouring to the depth of dye. A medium stone wash is great for mid to light blondes.

Length. Jeans often come in different leg lengths and some even available un- hemmed so you can get the length exactly right for your legs. If your height is less 5’3” or you have proportionally short legs, I would recommend you avoid turn-ups. Try wearing heels under longer length jeans to give the impression of long legs.

Cut. There are lots of different styles available, and different cuts will be more flattering and comfortable on different body shapes. If you have an hourglass figure, buy jeans with a bit of lycra in them. The jeans will show off your curves better than heavy duty straight legged jeans. Skinny jeans should only be worn by the young and skinny. Boot cut are flattering on most body shapes. If you don’t have much of waist, then opt for low waist or “boyfriend” jeans. They will feel more comfortable and look much better.

Once you have decided on your colouring and body shape, you are well equiped to shop for that elusive “perfect” pair of jeans. Remember high fashion labels don’t necessarily mean they will fit you, so try and keep an open mind when choosing your jeans and concentrate on the fit and not the label.
