Instead of giving away your kid’s old jeans, make a small purse with them! It seems like kids grow out of their pants as fast as you can buy them. Do not miss out on the opportunity to make these clever purses that you can give away as gifts or customize to match your wardrobe.

No matter how great the Stretch Jeans, if the fit is wrong for your body, they’ll look ridiculous on you. First, make sure the legs, crotch and waist areas are not too tight. You should also see if they look good from behind (even if it makes you feel vain). Remember, if you’re not sure, try other styles. Also, because Stretch Jeans are likely to shrink, it’s not a good idea to get just the right length.

Choosing the Right Style for Your Body Shape

Wide Hips Jeans
The worst thing someone with wide hips can do is try to hide them in a relaxed fit pair of jeans. These jeans actually draw attention to the width. Instead, buy a pair of boot-cut jeans. The flare at the bottom helps to minimize the appearance of thick thighs or wide hips. The key to these jeans looking best is to get them long enough. The hem line should hit the bottom of the ankle.

Boyish Figure Jeans
Someone with a rectangular body style has the opposite problem as someone who is pear shaped. To add the illusion of curves, choose cigarette or tapered jeans. Because they are slender at the calves, they make the hips look wider and add curve to flat bottoms.

Short Legs Jeans
Both tapered and flared jeans will add to the stockiness of short legs. To give the illusion of height, choose a pair of high-waisted trouser jeans. The very straight vertical lines create a slimming, lengthening look. To add even more length, have the hemline hit the floor when standing flat-footed and wear heels. Also, cuffing jeans is very trendy right now, but should be avoided by those with short legs.

Big Bottom Jeans
The wrong pair of jeans on someone with a big bottom will make Jennifer Lopez look small. The biggest culprit is pockets. Pockets that are small, too high or close together, or decorated can make a large back end look hippo-like. Having no pockets at all draws attention to the very area you’re trying to camouflage. Instead, choose a pair of jeans that have wide, long pockets that rest wide and low on your bottom.

Big Belly Jeans
If you have a big belly, choose a pair of high-waisted jeans to help create a smooth plane over the entire stomach. Just be careful not to have the jeans go above the belly button. While button-fly or regular zip-up jeans are fine, don’t choose jeans that tie, have pleats or an elastic waistband, or are decorated in front. These things will just bring attention to the belly bulge.

If you are a woman who is 5â??4â? or under, I am sure you have done your fair share of searching for the perfect jean.  If you are petite and slim, you probably can never find the perfect fit and length.  If you are petite and curvy, you probably have had to purchase a size larger then get jeans hemmed to get the perfect fit.  Regardless of your build, we will identify some of the most common attributes of many petite women and help you find the perfect jean!  We even have some great brands that we know will be just what you are looking for.

·      If you are Petite and Slim, then you are the woman who has great proportions, in terms of jeans.  Your smaller feature, such as bust, hips, and waist, allow you to be able to wear a wide range of brands.  You should try to aim for straight leg, cigarette, and skinny jeans.  These styles will compliment the attributes that you do have, and pairing any of these styles with stilettos, high heeled sandals, or high heels boots will go far in projecting a taller frame.  To avoid looking any shorter, do not choose pant or jeans styles that are cropped, cuffed, boot cut, or flood.  These styles will cut your frame off at the ankle or shin!  Some brands we recommend are:

o   Kasil

o   Joeâ??s Jeans

o   Citizens for Humanity

o   Goldsign

·      If you are Petite and Curvy, then you are the woman who has a bit more generous proportions and needs to find a jean that compliments every curve.  Your best bet is with a jean that is a combination of cotton and lycra or polyurethane, this will guarantee a better fit for your frame.   A dark denim or true black wash will elongate and slim your frame all at the same time.  And for added height, through heels on with your dark denim jeans and you will have a striking effect.  Some brands we recommend are:

o   Old Navy

o   J Brand

o   Joeâ??s Jeans

So ladies, what do you think?  Are you now ready to embrace the challenge of finding the perfect jeans for your petite figure?  Now that you know what to look for you will definitely be the talk of the town.  Good Luck and Happy Shopping!
